Workshops

Cripability is an evolving artistic research practice by dance artists Rosch and Lou, exploring how chronic illness shapes our lives, bodies, and creative processes. As part of Perspektiven, they share insights into their work through two workshops and an Open Studio session.

Workshop 1 – “Structures of Support”

slow movement practice that explores how we can be in our bodies and move together, attending to our own needs while offering support to others.

Workshop 2 – “Crip Library Remains”

A playful writing, voicing, and movement practice, using the work of Crip authors, artists, and activists as a starting point for creative exploration.

Open Studio

An informal evening where Rosch and Lou continue sharing their practice. Workshop participants are invited to take part, while visitors are welcome to drop in, and witness the process as it unfolds.

The workshops are designed by and aim to be accessible to individuals living with chronic pain and energy limiting conditions. However, the workshops are open to all curious about moving gently and the interplay of text and movement. No previous dance experience is required.

The picture shows the two artists Rosch and Lou sitting on the floor of their studio. One person is sitting close to the other and has her arms and legs wrapped around her upper body. The other person is slumped over so that her face cannot be seen. In the background, you can see a room with sparse furnishings (including a wooden ladder on the left, two doors, and a small wooden table with wheels on the right).
