As part of Unrenwable Energies, two residencies were awarded to artists who, in keeping with the theme of the festival, will examine energy, time, and resources from a disabled perspective on the grounds of the Uferstudios.
CDM
September 15 – 28, 2025
During a two-week residency, the Deaf collective CDM explores low frequencies and vibrations as a connection between music and the body. The collective is developing a performance suitable for live presentation, focusing on music production using analog and digital synthesizers via Ableton. Movement and Visual Vernacular expand the physical dimension of the music, opening up new paths for communication and resonance.
Created and performed by: Calvin Khan, David Obermaier, Matthias Ranner

Antonia Joséphine Meier
22. September – 5. Oktober 2025
During the residency, Antonia Meier approaches her own body as an eel. She is drawn to this state of suspension — not as a deficiency, but as a resource. For Antonia, the eel becomes a partner in physical research, a permission to not know, to not be clear or defined, but to move through touch, association, and contradiction.
At the same time, the eel symbolizes an alternative way of living — beyond reproduction, progress, and societal visibility.
Detailed information about possible showings can be found soon on the program page and via social media.
