Antonia Joséphine Meier approached her own body as an eel during her residency. She is interested in this state of limbo not as a deficit, but as a resource. The actress and performer understands the eel as a partner in physical research, as permission not to know, not to be unambiguous, but to move tentatively, associatively, and contradictorily. At the same time, the eel is a symbol of a different model of life: beyond reproduction, progress, and social visibility. During her two-week residency, Antonia, accompanied on several days by dancer Eva Leemans and harpist Marina Mello, explored various states of rest and the accompanying perception of space through lying meditations. She will now present a small selection of this process as an individual practice in the showing.

The showing will be followed by a short discussion with the artists.

The image shows a person in a dark room bathed in green light. The person is lying flat on the floor, partially wrapped in a shiny, dark material. One hand is raised, holding a microphone pointing down toward the mouth. The rest of the room remains dark and empty, creating a calm, focused atmosphere.
